I am almost obsesive compulsive when it comes to giving an
accurate description of the cel I am selling or trading
(damage, stuck, condition, etc.). This is mostly
because I just cannot stand when someone does not tell me
these things when I am buying a cel. These things I always
like to know before I buy something.
However, mismatched background I am less anal about,
since this issue is probably one of the hardest things to
determine even if you are decently familar with the series.
The one clear way to know if a background is right is if the
cel comes with the initial pre-layout sketches and this is
only rairly done in most series. In my experience only
Slayers, Esca SMJ, and FY cels consistently have the
presketches or copy of the presketch if a cel is coming with
the matching background. In contrast, anything from AIC
(Tenchi, El Hazard, BGC2040, VP Miyu TV - I think that is
them) will never have them or a matching sketch of the
matter. So determining if a background is matching in these
cases or with other series that are less thorough requires
tremendous familiarity with series to determine it.

Then again, the last two cels I got from you had non-matching
backgrounds and you really did not tell me that that was the
case. Then again, I had already figured out before I got them
from you that they were non-matching and did not really ask.
So I will give you the benifit of the doubt and the fact that
cels were priced at a very good level.

Just curious why you are asking the newgroup now about it,
Marcus
