I think it's wrong to sell with that background without telling the person it's not the real thing. I have come across some wonderful dealers, and some very dishonest ones- I saw someone try to sell EVA repos as productions, and it really mad- I told them I knew the difference and I recognized the set of cels, and they still tried to argue, even though these supposed "production" cels had no holes, sequence numbers, etc. Some dealers just don't know though- lots have no idea which series their cels are from, example: OAV vs TV series, etc. I think buyers need to be smart shoppers but it also helps if the dealers try to know something about their merchandise. |
