I appreciate all your thoughtful advice and 
comments. Unfortunately can't act on any of them 
right now because my power was out for about 18 
hours and now must go through the fridge and 
freezer. (*it's not going to be pretty*).

PS: It was 96 F yesterday and around 80 last 
night. At least I didn't have air conditioning to 
miss but a fan or two could have helped.(*sigh*)
