I definitely do not like to be on the receiving
end of Paypal payments. I freely accept them from
funded accounts for my auctions only because I
think people bid more freely when they can pay
with Paypal. But I'm completely sick and tired of
the people who go on to me about how "convenient
and easy" it is to upgrade my account. 9_9 I
always hear how I can get payments "immediately".
Well, Paypal is ANYTHING but immediate for me.
Other than paying for a check, I can't get money
out of the account at all without spending it.
And if I'm selling stuff on Ebay, it usually
means I'm trying to GAIN money for something --
NOT spend it. ~_~
Thankfully, I have my husband's account (which he
doesn't use at all) which I have upgraded in case
people are just *dying* to pay with their credit
cards. . . AND pay for their own convenience.
I've had a couple irritating people declare to me
about how it's not allowed for me to pass on the
fees. In which case, I just tell them: "I'm
making an *EXCEPTION* to my rules for you. If you
don't want to pay the fee, you're welcome to pay
by one of the methods I stated I *DO* accept."
But I have to say, I always list that I'll ship
internationally. I'm willing to work with someone
that will work with me. So far -- on a percentage
basis -- international bidders have given me FAR
less trouble than domestic bidders.
Many Sharp Smiles,
