I had similar experience too... (Mon Sep 23 15:31:08 2002 )

Hi!

I shared your pain too. I've have that
occasionally happened to my local post. Because
the piece of cardboard fits nicely into my
mailbox.

But the thing is we have a system whereby the
postman can open the main access to all mailboxes
all at the same time for easy dropping of mails.
Yeah, like those you see at the apartments. So
after the main access is locked, it creates a
border, which makes the access slot smaller.

I have several cases.... well, I have to bend the
cel slightly and hoping no creases in the process
to pull the stupid cel out. I do attract stares
from neighbours then, but they were really kind
and even volunteered to help me. ^_^ It's really
stupid when two adults pulling to get the mail
out by force.

Otherwise, I will have to wait next time for the
postman to make his deliveries again to unlock
the main access to retrieve my cel.

I was very unhappy about that and voiced my
opinion in their suggestion box that same day.
And it's not just once or twice. I believe it's
from the same postman whom is too lazy to make
his way to the stairs to get it deliver to my
doorstep.

Imagine, ruining the cel in your own hands. I
certainly hate the idea. I'm sorry, your cel is
in pretty bad state. I wonder if you got them
insured. At least, they will pay you some
compensation. Nevertheless, it can't be helped
with the state your cel is in. But at least, it's
going to make you feel better.

Yes, "Do Not Bend" sometimes do the trick. But
having too many stamps of "Do Not Bend" will only
backfires in my case. I find the more stamps of
those they had on the packet, the more the
postman will try to do something funny with your
packet. Arrghss. There's just too much to bear.
