i'd like to just start off by saying that i
think it is unfortunate that you chose to
discuss this on a public forum. all of this
distress could really have been avoided if
viewed calmly and communicating calmly through
private emails. but, to present all of the
facts, a more detailed explantion is needed.
to be honest, i wasn't even going to reply to
this post, since i don't really see the point of
adding fuel to the fire.... but i would hope
this reply will just put the fire out instead.
1) the very first email that you sent to celga
did not include your name or address, etc.
also, it did not include the full *auction url*
for us to be able to search our records to see
if we already had a bidder for the auction.
2) in response to your initial email / request
to open an account with celga, we sent you the
standard "info for new customers" reply.
basically a concise breakdown of all of our
requirements to establish a new account, and the
format of how to request an auction bid.
3) we then received a reply from you in about 2
days. you sent along all of the information
that we required to set up a new account. great!
you also chose to send the deposit for your bid
immediately, rather than waiting for our
confirmation that we could indeed bid.
4) during the timespan between your first
mention of an auction, and the second email
listing the full url & your info, we did
receive a bid request from an established
customer for the auction. we accepted them as
first bidder.
now, this is the key point, *because we did not
have the full url in your very first email*,
when we searched our records for bidders, your
very first mention of the auction *did not even
show up in our search*. therefore, we had no
idea that when our established customer had
requested an auction, that anyone else had ever
even mentioned or expressed an interest in the
auction.
5) we offered you second in line bidder
status. you refused and asked for the bid to be
cancelled, so we refunded your deposit
*immediately*.
6) i did try to explain to you why you would be
second bidder and not first, to which you
replied that you had no idea this would happen.
then you threatened to report us to the state's
attorney (?), yahoo and paypal what a horrible
business we are O_o
if you had read our information on our website
thoroughly before contacting us, i think a lot
of this could have been avoided. we clearly
state the information that we need for all bid
requests (the full url), as well as our need for
customer info such as name, address, etc. also
we state on our site that there is a chance that
bidders may have to go "in line".
i hope that this sheds some light on the matter
and chain of events. if you wish to discuss the
situation further, i have included my personal
email address above.
otherwise, we wish you good luck in bidding on
yahoo japan auctions through 1 of the many other
deputy services available.
