Is this fair? (Mon Oct 28 01:01:49 2002 )

Hi I wanted to tell you why I'am angry and if you
think I have a right to be. On thursday I was
looking at cels on yahoo and I saw this perfect
lead crow pan cel and I was like I love it. So I
asked my dad if I could get it for christmas
present. I have asked my dad before about buying
stuff from japan through something like celga but
we would have to pay through paypal since I'am
too young to get a credit card and do it myself.
But my dad doesn't like to pay through paypal
because we have had some problems with it in the
past and our e-mail also has chaged since the
last time we used it so we would have to get a
new account and that could take awhile. Anyways
my dad said i could do it. So the only place I
knew that I can buy a cel from japan would be
from celga. I wrote celga and told them that I
would like to bid on this item. Since I'am new to
this they said I had to make a account with them
and send them half the money. So about a day and
half later me and my dad finally made the new
paypal account because it kept going through
loops with us and wouldn't let us in sometimes
but we sent the money. I wrote to them telling
them that I had sent the money. They wrote back
saying they got the money and that I would be the
second bidder because before I wrote back that I
had sent the money and infromation someone else
had requested that item and celga would bid for
them first. I was like wait a second not to be
mean or anything but I made the request first
before the other bidder so shouldn't I be first?
Me and my dad (really my dad) would have never
sent the money if I knew we would have been
second. We got our money back that was good but I
wish I could have gotten the cel but oh well I
guess it was not meant to be. But was this fair?
Thanks for listening. Alex
