i think everyone already handled the legality 
issue.  To tell the truth, i wouldn't want a fan 
cel of another cel.  If i wanted a copy i could 
save an image of the internet onto my computer 
and print out a copy, now original works, those 
are what i like.  I think it would be cool to 
have any original character design, even if it 
was never in a cartoon.  That way i could have 
something that no one else would ever have, it 
would be one of a kind and very valuable to me.  
That's why i prefer fan cel artists that don't 
just copy but create their own images.  I have 
seen several great fan cel's done, a couple on 
yahoo japan, that were better then the cel's used 
on shows they looked like hanken cel's.  Thats 
what it is to be an artist, to create your own 
images and work with your own imagination.  blah, 
blah, blah, blah, blah . . .
