I think that to a large degree hobbies ARE life.
Or at least one of those parts worth living.
Hobbies are rare things we choose for ourselves
rather then them getting dropped in our laps. So
I don't think it's wrong to get really serious
over a hobby. You can say whatever you want about
it being "only" acetate, but that's just not
fair.
A hobby IS an important aspect of one's life.
Where would we be without the things we like to
do? If it means stretching out into "real life"
or whatever you want to call it from time to
time, that's fine by me. "Real life" stretches
into my hobby, so it goes both ways.
