No offense Yann but Dangaioh OVA cels are a
horrible example of "sudden" renewed interest in a
series. I too track the buying and selling trends
for this series but, you are inaccurately
depicting the buying trend. For the past six years
buying and selling of Mia cels (which as you know
are the most popular) have not been expensive, nor
in high demand. However, within the past two years
and a half years (this is not a sudden occurance)
certain sellers on YJP have been dumping their
collections and this was noticeable as the quality
for these cels were very high. Also regarding the
actually quantity of bidders, there are not as
many high rolling bidders for this series as you
would imagine. Typically, if you review carefully
the buying trends of this series, there are mainly
two high rolling bidders. No need to name who
these individuals are, but these two people do not
make up a “large” group of interest for this
series. For this series it basically boils down to
two collectors who are buying these cels up.
