I might be a bit myopic, since I have narrow 
vision on popular cels, but I swear that some 
collectors are starting to buy cels again at the 
pre-recession prices again, and that prices are 
rising to pre-2002 levels again in some 
categories. 

Not a bad thing at all, if you are holding onto 
some expensive and rare anime cels. It is cause 
for cheer! And I am not talking about e-Bay (I'll 
get that out of the way first!)

 Maybe it is just me, but when I see Iria cels go 
for first $300 dollars and then almost $500 
dollars on YJP, albeit fine scenes, it makes me 
wonder. I start to wonder even more when I begin 
to lose auctions over and over again, and I make 
pretty good efforts to get cels at even pre-
market drop levels. Hmmm..

 When I see Plastic Little cels going for their 
good ol'expensive prices on YahooJP. It makes me 
wonder, Is the market coming back up?
What really has me guessing are the Mandarake 
Auctions@@!! Some of those cels and prices just 
don't match! 

I am not complaining at all--contrary, it seems 
exciting. 

What do you see out there in the pool 
more "carp", "toads", or something in between.?

 Maybe it is only Christmas buying fever, that I 
sense.. It seems to bring out the Big Buys and 
the Big Buyers... maybe that's it (?)

 I sure want in on some of the action! Guess, I 
better through some cash down on the table!
