Subject: MISSING EXPRESS MAIL PACKAGE
[*************]; $1100+ (true value) lost
This is a narrative recounting the events and
investigations I have experienced with regards to
a valuable missing express mail package sent from
Japan. I hope that it will assist you in
tracking down this missing package which I
desperately cannot afford to lose.
On 12/11/2001, I ordered 15 rare collectible
items from a dealer in Japan. Included were 12
hand-painted acetate cels that were used in the
production of Japanese film animation. Also
included were 3 sets of production sketches also
used in Japanese film animation. This entire
collection of irreplaceable items was placed and
should now be referred to as Order #****.
On 12/20/2001, the dealer...

... shipped Order #**** out of Japan via Express
Mail Service (EMS). The package's tracking
number was *************.
I had paid roughly $550 for Order #**** and that
is the amount the package was insured for.
However, the true value of the package is
actually worth twice that amount. All items were
purchased at half of their original value, due to
a special holiday sale from the dealer. You may
contact the seller to verify that this is true.
The package should be boxed and rectangular in
shape. The contents are 12 flat sheets of hand-
painted (full-color) acetate cels and several
flat production pencil sketches (in 3 sets) drawn
on paper.
12/23/01: According to USPS online tracking, the
package arrived in ************* on December 23,
2001.
12/24/01: According to USPS online tracking, my
package ************* arrived at the *********,
CA ***** processing center at 11:14 pm on
December 24, 2001. Afterwards, absolutely no
further information could be found or was
available for this item. This was the last time
the item was ever accounted for. |
