All very good points too; and interesting to hear
both sides of any issues.
Think of cels and other collectables as
commodities on the stock market; or land
propeties...they get bought up and resold all the
time.
Supply and demand. And alot of hard work.
If I choose to stay up all hours monitaring cel
updates for quick snatches of a good deals; I do
not see the problem of turning around and
reselling for what I consider (and thats
different for everyone) a fair profit.
Although I still have all the cels I've ever
purchased.(with a few gift, and trade exceptions).
"Time is money" and it does take alot of time to
be current to all the updates, auctions, and sale
posts on forum. I can only do it for short
periods at best.
And I can only admire (jealously) those buyers
that seem to have the gift for spotting what
series are going to become such high dollar
collectables ,before they are.
I totally understand the points of honorable
buying, bidding and selling conduct that might
actually keep costs in check; but I seriously
doubt it.
We should each follow our own set of codes, and
hopefully work out deals in a civilized manner.
Then again
Its all a matter of nature....
Food chain and Charles Darwin...
if you don't want to get eaten; don't go swimming
in the water with sharks.
