I had to reply; my girlfriend has been 
collecting cards for along time now and Roger 
Clemens is her favorite player. She used to hate 
him cause he played for boston (wasn't he traded 
to Toronto in 96?) but once he started playing 
for the Yanks things changed (we also met him and 
had a picture taken) he became her favorite 
player along with Charles Johnson. I agree that 
once the inserts came out things got confusing. I 
also look at it this way, you'll never own all 
his cards but there sure are alot of really cool 
ones (Upper Deck legends signed jersey card she 
got for christmas comes to mind)
  I also am a big collector of Vampire Hunter D 
Bloodlust and have about 12 cels so far. Yes, 
these cels are very expensive and I am one of 
those jumpers: but not for resale. I still own 
every VHD cel and I will sell every Dragonball 
cel I have before I part with the VHD cels.They  
TRULY are works of art. I don't consider them 
expensive cels but cheap artwork. Also, every cel 
from that movie is rare, the movies only about an 
hour and ahalf long, thats it! How many episodes 
are in most series? 100 or 200 or even 20 half 
hour shows?  Cel collecting sure has it strange 
turns ^_^
