(*Drac wants to know her new title's benifits*)^_^
About taking the cels off the site: For the most
part they only update the site during an update -
and then sometimes they only update the sections
that they are updating, and not the whole site.
They can go months between updates. There are a
few cels on thier site which are in my possession
as we speak, but which are still on the site and
are not marked "sold" or even "on hold".
About the "auction": If four or more people want
the same cel, the auction is Mangaya's attempt to
get more money for it. Plain and simple, since
they *do* know who put in the first order for it.
In a way, I suppose this is a "protection" for
them against underpricing, but underprices are
rarely a danger there. (Always IMHO.) The auction
only appiles for the first five days (unless they
changed the rules) after an update. After that,
it's first come first serve. Even if by some
fluke four people happened to order the same cel
at once, the cel would still go to the first
person to order it.
About being contacted: Right after an update is
when they're fastest with contact. But because of
the five day limit on the auction, they will not
contact you before the five days is up. If you're
ordering from them at a non-update time, I've
sometimes had to wait weeks for a confirmation
that what I want was in stock. And they will let
you know if an item is sold out! So you will hear
from them. Pestering them by e-mail will not get
you a reply faster.
Basically, if you want to order from Mangaya, you
need to be ready to *wait*. Even once you get an
answer and get the money to them, they're usually
slow to ship. (But they seem to have gotten
better than when I first ordered from them.)
Unlike others here, I would still recommend EMS,
for the insurance on it. Every time I order from
Mangaya, basically my thought is: "Please don't
let this time be the time that something goes
wrong." 9_9
