;_; Not al clubs are like that. I run the club at
our school, which I started for the specific
purpose of sharing anime, this hobby I love, with
other members of the school. I especially love
showing non-commercialized anime, as it just
brings more variety into the club, showing things
that don't come right off the shelf. I admit, I
do scoff at TV dubbed anime, but not because I
think I'm better as much as I just -hate- the way
things are torn apart. If it wan't for kids in
the first place, I don't think they should -make-
it a kids show.
But anyway, my point is, I don't look down on any
members of my club, as they are all there for a
certain reason...to enjoy anime. Most of them
aren't hardcore, and some of them are, and we all
co-exist peacefully...mainly because if someone
gets too rowdy I smack them and say "I CAN'T
HEAR!" That usually shuts 'em up ^^
I dunno, I kinda feel, if someone wants to be
immersed in a world like that....who am I to take
that from them? It gives them a sense of
community and belonging, and even if the rest of
us may think it creepy, none of us have the right
to take that away from them.
Eeeep. I started this out as a simple little
shout-out for clubs, and stood on a total
soapbox. Gomen! But you get my point ^^
