I knew that my school had a club, but I was never 
really interested in watching anime in a 
classroom. (My couch is leather for goodness 
sake...no cold plastic chair can compete with 
that!) One fateful day a classmate saw me 
thumbing through cel galleries in Photoshop 
Lecture and turns out he was the 
unofficial "leader" of the club. After making 
excuses for a few weeks, he lured me in with the 
newest fansubs of Kodocha. Holy alternate 
universe batman...I spent 8 hours in that room 
and was ready to bolt around minute fifteen when 
two "fans" practically came to blows over the 
Utena introduction. They definitely had 
that "reality" issue happening, but you know what 
bugged me the most? Upon finding out I was a cel 
collector they !!*gasp*!! scoffed at me. 
(Personally, I just think the little otaku 
weren't interested in any part of anime that they 
couldn't claim to be the utmost authority 
on... :p)

Needless to say, I waved off the club and opted 
for my fansubs/rentals, leather couch and down 
comforter. :)
