Well... I think everyone feels they need to have 
someone to look down on, and y'know, if you only 
collect the art, and don't cosplay, know every 
line of the show by heart, all the trivia 
involved, and are able to name every minor 
character (even if their names don't come up) 
then you're just an inferior being. *rolls eyes*

Heehee, and as for creepy, as freaked out as 
hardcore anime fans make me, you know there's 
actually a TOWN settled by TREKKIES?!  An entire 
town, honest to god.  They live there and 
roleplay 24/7.  I read an article about it... 
yeah, we're gonna have some really maladjusted 
kids growing up there and during into serial 
killers all right...  *shiver*

As for cel collectors, I think you guys are all a 
happy medium.  You're fans, but for the most 
part, still perfectly in touch with reality, and 
know that no matter how much you love it, it's 
Just a show.  I've tried to get into lots 
of different fan mediums, and I always get 
creeped out sooner or later, but so far, this 
forum's doing ok.  I'm happy anyway ^_^
