Same thing here in California. Everyone seems to 
expect you to talk like a valley girl and to be 
an expert surfer. I haven't a clue how to surf 
and only start with the accent when really 
excited. (I need to talk a little more 
professionally at work or I would not be taken 
too serioulsly)
