I'm from the Boston area too, but I didn't get 
issued an accent when I moved here. ;_;  I was in 
Minnesota (Bloomington! ^_^) until just after I 
started learning to speak, and then we moved here 
where I finished learning to speak. . . The two 
accents must have countered each other out since 
I didn't get any accent! (*pout*)

My speech is so neutrally accented, that sometimes
when I answer the phone at the vet people think 
I'm an answering service - or worse. . . Me: "This
is NCVS."  *paaaaaauuuuuuuussse*  Person on 
phone: "Oh! I thought I'd gotten the machine."
