Ok. I agree with you completely that these anime
guys are very feminine looking. My favorite anime
guy (hotohori) acted as a woman AND was mistaken
FOR a woman by a certain desperate bandit. ^^

My adoration for him goes beyond looks as well
though. ^_^;

Okay - the science part I mentioned. I learned
this from a discovery channel magazine article.
It appears that woman in general are attracted to
more feminine featured guys (or feminine features
ON guys) when they are not menstrating (sorry i
had to use that word guys). It is because
feminine features imply a more caring and
nurturing (MOTHERLY) type of personality. Woman
like this because they want their future mate to
be able to care for the children well. But also -
feminine type features on a guy are a downfall by
this aspect: they are not as "potent" as the
other more masculine guy. Okay, now when/why do
girls like "masculine" featured guys? It's DURING
menstration when the female looks for a
more "potent" type man - with strong genetics -
to carry on healthy offspring.

SOOoooOoo.. what do girls like? They like both.
It's just (in general mind you/scientifically
speaking) that woman look find feminine type
features more attractive most of the time.

I hope THAT makes sense. Because you want to know
what's up with Nuriko being so popular.. well -
for me it's his personality. For others it might
be his looks as well. Either way - a woman wrote
the story and designed the characters. So what
SHE think's is attractive in a male will
definatly carry over into her works. So SHE
happens to find long purple hair and droopy "come
hither" eyes attractive. LOL.

Okay. enough of me. I gotta go to work. XP
