IMO, I find that the characters' personalities 
make them truly attractive to me. Yu Watase is 
incredibly gifted at creating romantic, angsty 
heroes and deeply conflicted villians that we can 
empathize with. Looks are just an added bonus! 
^_^ 

I find Spike and Jet just as sexy as Tamahome and 
Touya...it's their characterization (and talented 
seiyuus can really help flesh it out) that makes 
me sigh and swoon. 

In real life, I have dated "pretty boys" and I 
can't say that I was ever really comfortable with 
them...but again I think it was more their 
personalities that turned me away rather than the 
fact that they were so purty! LOL
