Well, I can't speak for other guys, but for 
myself the anime that I collect just rings a 
chord in me. I collect all things Lain, for me 
shes a personification of the wired, a digital 
angel. I work with computers and always had 
existentialist tendencies so I suppose it's just 
natural for me to love Lain. To me she less a 
girl than a classic myth, the heroine of old 
retold in todays tongue. For me and maybe some 
others, I suppose, we just see something we 
really like as a person in that character. ^_^x
