Didn't you say you also had a thing for glasses?
I remember talking to you at a con...
But, yeah, Ami seems a lot more popular among
guys than girls. In fact, almost every girl I've
met who is a BSSM fan -hates- Ami, and thinks
that Mercury is the worst of the senshi ^^;;; I
myself don't hate her, but I'm not particularly
endeared towards her...I think she offers a
refreshing attitude in a show filled with girls
who are sometimes more brawn than brains and can
be quite boy crazy. Ami is the level-headed one
who really isn't too interested in relationships,
and she's the only one who fights using her mind
as opposed to her might. I just get kinda
irritated at her extreme delicateness, as it
sometimes leaves her whimpering in a corner
showing a distinct lack of backbone. But her
heart is in the right place.
But, yeah, from what I see that whole "sexy
chicks with karate moves/guns/the ability to beat
the crap out of anyone" seems to appeal to guys.
If she's totally sexy and yet toally strong at
the same time, it seems to be a real turn on. And
the fact that so many of these types exist in
anime is testimony to that ^^ I mean, take a
second and look at the girl created for Yann's
logo, just for instance. She looks like a totally
strong, kick-ass chick who could beat the crap
outta a lot of guys, yet at the same time she's
intensely feminine and sexy. That seems to
prevail more over the masculine and strong women
in anime.
OK, I'll stop rambling now XD
