I insist that people take insurance on all my
auctions, regardless of how small the item is
(though I've never auctioned anything as small as a
single trading card or something like that). I
just don't want to have to worry about a lot of
hassle and finger-pointing back and forth if
something gets lost.
I suppose for small items I could get tracking
instead, but it seems nicer to be able to say "I
sent it, if it's lost you'll get your money back"
rather than "see, I have _proof_ I sent it, it's
not _my_ problem it's lost".
I do send international items non-insured when the
insured shipping price would be silly, but I'm not
happy about it at all.
