So my friend calls me today. A money order of
hers has gotten lost in the mail. So I was
like, "OK, you can get a refund, you have the
receipt, right?", and she replied yes. But here's
where she tells me the details. Here's the story.
She gets stuff from the Taro sale. Sends out an
IPMO. It gets lost. The post office takes an -
eternity- to track and refund it. Stephen is nice
enogh to wait. She gets a -new- IPMO, scans the
receipts, and sends it out.
The NEW IPMO is the one that's now been lost.
She -still- hasn't gotten her Taro sale cels yet
(-I- thought she'd received them long ago), and
Stephen is getting angry at her (understandably),
and so he wants payment in 7 days.
So now she's very upset, and doesn't know what to
do (she told me the rough amount, about $350,and
I have to say, with her budget (or with
anyone's), it would be -impossible- to go out and
just buy another IPMO while she waits for the
refund). She's a poor student, so that's a lot of
money. She said she's e-mailed the USPS and plans
to go to the post office, but I doubt that will
prove fruitful.
Does ANYONE know what I can do to help her? She
doesn't come to this forum, which is why -I'm-
asking you guys. I figure everyone here has been
through something like this, experience is the
best medicine.
I just feel so bad, I can't even begin to
understand what kind of anger she must feel to
lost such a big money order in the mail TWICE. I
mean, she has the receipts to prove she sent
them, so what else can she do but wait?
Does ANYONE know of a way to pry that type of
thing out of the post office within 7 days?
-Misha
(BTW, my friend is named Corey...I'm trying to
get her to start posting here, but she keeps
forgetting ^^;; I helped create her gallery,
since she's not good wiff html, so that'll be up
soon. Debbye, you might know her, she bought a
Chihaya cel from you!)
