Well, if you're an artist, there actually is an
easy way to make spare cash--do fanart or fanart
commissions on ebay.

It's what I do, because my university schedule
doesn't allow me to have a part time job that
would be worth the impact on my grades (but I
work full time during every vacation I get to pay
my tuition). There are so many college kids
around here looking for jobs you can't make above
minimum wage anyway, no matter what your skill
level, so art is actually a good alternative.

So just look up 'fanart' on ebay and see what I
mean. If you're good enough, you can sell stuff
on ebay and people will contact you about direct
commissions--I just finished an 18x24" cel
commission (fifi from Tiny Toons) for $100. But
even quick watercolor paintings and stuff will go
for at least $10 each.

By the way, I think considering selling a pet to
pay for a piece of plastic is reprehensible, but
then, if you'd actually do that, the dog is
better off with a family that loves it.

So get your priorities straightened out and
figure out how to get your talents to work for
you. If worst comes to worst and you can't sell
anythin, you can just learn how to paint cels so
you can have all the cels you want, just not
authentic ones.
