H'n. Your priorities seem a little skewed... :o(
I've run into a similar sort of situation-- at A-
kon 2000, someone had dropped $40 on the floor.
But I had no idea who it was-- it was just lying
there, and had been lying there for a while-- no
wallet, no nothing. I ended up buying a cel with
it, but if I could have figured out who it
belonged to, or had seen it fall, I would've
given it to them. After all, I had my own fun
money, and I squandered it elsewhere-- and if I
didn't have enough to cover an impulse cel
purchase, too bad for me.
But there's another issue that's a bit
bothersome. 7600 yen is... what, about US $62?
But you said you found nearly $200. :o(
Maybe we're all feeling preachy today, but if I'm
in a cel trade with someone, or I buy something
from someone's site, it's very much a trust
issue. I trust that their cel is as described,
that they'll send the cel as promised, and that
they won't disappear with my MO, never to be
heard from again. But coming on the board and
bragging about what a good actress/liar/whatever
you are isn't really a good thing.
Cels are just things. Granted, they're nice
things-- but people and integrity and respect are
a lot more important. ^_^
