Need some advice (Mon Jul 9 16:21:50 2001 )

OK, this is probably just me being paranoid, but
I admit to being a bit worried.

Yesterday, I put three cels on eBay (I posted a
thread here talking about them). Well today, I
got an e-mail from someone bidding on them, who
remarked that they wouldn't bid against someone
with no feedback. Sure enough, they had been
outbid by someone who appeared brand new.

I have no idea whether they meant it this way or
not, but I took it to mean they thought I had
someone bidding for me to raise the price (I
don't remember what those people are called, but
I can think of a few choice terms). I responded,
saying that I would never, EVER do anything like
that, and that there was no connection between
myself and this new bidder.

However, because I was curious, I looked at the
auction. This is where I really began to worry.
My eBay name is phoenixlady, and this new bidder
has the name bird_lady. Those seem a bit too
close to be just a coincidence.

So here's my question...should I be worried? I
mean, I swear on my life, I have no idea who this
person is, but if I'm accused, there's no way I
could prove that I wasn't involved (at least no
way I can think of). A few people here know me,
and know that I am always honest, but I just
can't help panicking.

What should I do?

Ali
