How is the way I handle offers on my cels any
different than anyone else? I usually charge a
lot less (100s of $ less) for DBZ than Mangaya,
Anime Taro, Animegame, etc. Not to mention eBay
or Yahoo JP and several private collectors. I
often accept offers that are reasonable; I have
always tried to sell cels fairly. If I do sell
them, I am looking for market value (mid-range)
and anyone seriously interested should have an
idea of what that is. Is that any different than
how anyone else feels? As my web page clearly
says: "Please understand that my cels are not for
sale. Anything that I have for sale will be
announced at my other website, Aino Anime
Trader. You can always make an offer on a cel
(or offer me a cel if you have something on my
wish list). If you don't hear back from me (I get
several e-mails a day, I can't answer them
all ;_; !) then I am probably not interested." If
you are a person I know and trust, or someone who
comes across as honest and nice, then I will do
my very best to respond to your messages.
I too am a cel collector and fan. I am not a
dealer. I do not buy cels and then resell them to
the highest bidder. I don't break up douga/cel
sets. I won't lie to you about the quality or
condition of a cel or ask for an uneven trade. I
won't shill bid and I have never sold a fake cel.
I try to offer my cels up personally for direct
sale or trade _before_ I put them on eBay. I
almost always sell cels to buy more cels. I am
trying to diversify, I no longer want to have so
much DBZ. is that a crime? If you don't want to
buy it or make an offer, please don't. I don't
see why you need to attack me or that you have to
ruin it for someone else who is willing to make
an honest bid. Does it not show that I am trying
to be fair when I think it's bizarre that my cels
are going for $810 on eBay? As for personal
sales, how do you even know what my prices are
unless you ask when I offer them? I will at least
give you a range. The only cel I have priced
extremely high is my Majin Vegeta and my dream-
sequence Mirai Trunks, and that's because I don't
really want to sell them. Finally, if you haven't
received a reply from me, have you considered
that you may be one of these types of people that
I don't chose to do business with? I don't sell
to people who:
A. Don't pay
B. Will agree to buy and then change his/her mind
and ask me (_after_ agreeing to buy) for a
payment plan when I need the money right now (or
I wouldn't be selling anything) and after I have
already mailed the other people who offered and
said no to their offers. I do accept payment
plans from people I know are trustworthy and if
it's at an OK time.
C. People who make an offer, I accept it, and
then they write me back and make a lower bid.
Again, this is usually after I e-mailed other
bidders and told them the cel wasn't available
anymore.
D. People who will turn right around and resell
the cel on eBay or whatever.
E. People who are just generally not very
friendly and demand that you sell your cels to
them, even when they aren't for sale.
Thank you,
