Some people just get pissed at Celga if they
won't accept their order since they weren't the
first one to e-mail them, and then they just go
to another proxy bidder. Celga only refuses an
order if their max bid isn't even high enough to
make them 2nd in line. So, going to another
proxy bidder won't work at all since they're
going to get outbid by Celga eventually.
I wonder how many requests Sato gets (and then
winds up losing in the auctions) because of
people who weren't first at getting their bid in
at Celga.
Since japester said it fell well below his
maximum, it'd make sense that his max bid was
significantly higher than the first bidder's
max. Celga still gives the first bidder some
leeway in terms of yen before accepting someone
else as 2nd in line. I agree that he should have
been told that he was 2nd. |
