Okay, so I'm new to this hobby, and I see some
great cels on Yahoo Japan. I especially like a
trio of Ryoko cels that have no bids at like 1500
yen. So I find a deputy service (Celga) and place
an order. I send the money and get a confirmation
e-mail that my bid is placed. I happen to be
online, watching, as the auction ends. It ends
WELL below my max---I WON! Yippee! I don't get a
confirmation from Celga, but I decide to bid on
some other, less attractive auctions, figuring
that I'll save by combining the shipping with my
Ryoko lot.
Time goes by....
A week later, I inquire about which auctions I
actually won. I get a confirmation e-mail saying
that I won the Ryoko auction plus two others.
Great!
A few more days go by.....
I finally get my first invoice....for the SECOND
auction. Okaaay. Then I get an invoice for the
third auction. Hmmmm. I let another day go by.
Silence. I ask about the Ryokos, and I get the
response, "someone who has asked us first won the
auction". WHAT?! I sent a couple of replies,
quoting my two confirmation e-mails, but I don't
have much hope. :-(
Sooo, what I want to know is, does this happen
often with Celga? They seem nice enough, but this
was an auction that honestly went for very cheap.
Those Ryokos could easily be sold over here for
MUCH more (if you wanted to give them up!)---which
makes me a little suspicious. Sorry, but I am.
And now I am left with some other cels that, while
nice, are not really any kind of deal once you
factor in all the fees.
If Celga really did give away my Ryokos, I'll have
to take my business elsewhere. I asked about
alternatives before, but all I heard was a brief
mention of a Mr. Saito(???) who was technically
closed buy MAY take orders.....???? Any others?
