You know, I don't understand why eBay would have
a problem with a seller "collecting information"
about other interested parties... after all, if
a sale falls through and the seller receives
no money, eBay refunds the end-of-auction fees.
(And if this is a large amount, eBay is losing
money because the seller didn't just simply
accept a lower amount to the second bidder!)

Of course, how often do eBay's policies make
sense?
