um.
Just becuase its not a tiffany lamp doesn't mean
its not art. Films are art. Live action AND
animated films (and tv shows) are art. Some of
them suck totally and really arent worthy to be
called art, but they ARE. And some of them are
truely aweinspiring. Are you saying that Lodoss
isn't art?
Then all those painters and character designers
and animators ARENT ARTISTS?
I beg to differ from someone who MAKES animation.
I'm an artist damnit. It doesn't matter whether
you make your art in glass, sand, paint or pencil
or leaves! It's an expression of your creativity,
imagination and indefinitely your personality and
soul if you do it well.
people buying cels must only determine how much
the art is worth to them. It's a one of a kind
peice of the artform.
Art fads come and go. An artist who's paintings
command high prices now, may not be worth
something in the future. It's the same with cels.
You just have to determine what the cel (by
extension the ART) is worth to you. That's what
it's worth. It's a work of art, you determine
what it's worth to you, and how it speaks to you
as the viewer, as the audience.
If the audience doesnt connect with the art, then
its worth NOTHING, except to the artist who
created it. |
