It'll only be worth that much if someone buys it. I
gotta go with Evangelion cels. On the rare occasion
that one turns up, there GONE! No matter what the
price. I've seen Mononoke cels that just won't sell
because too much is being asked. I don't mean to
rag on Asylum but all their stuff is on the pricey
side. They do get GOOD stuff though. A Mononoke cel
was on eBay a few months ago that had a bid of over
$3000 and still had not reached the reserve! That's
NUTS! He posted it twice and never got what he was
asking.

Value of cels can get skewed, however. If
you're someone who has a lot of disposable cash,
than you're obviously willing to pay more simply
because you can. It's a stretch for me to pay $200
for a cel. A BIG stretch! Just because someone pays
$1000 for a cel doesn't really mean it's worth
that. It may be that the person can throw away that
kind of cash without it being a problem. Ebay is a
wonderful example of people who have too much money
to spend. If you know how to "read" it, eBay CAN be
helpful in determining the value of something, but
not cels, since cel are unique items.
