Sorry, but singling out the resellers would mean
charging basically ALL the dealers, even most of
the Japanese sites.
Do you think that all the cels from the larger
dealers come from their personal collections or
something? NO!! They go out, and buy cels from
other people who are selling them to resell.
Just because they travel to Japan to do it doesn't
mean that they are any different. (note: this is
not an attack on dealers but on those atttacking
others) They still buy cels with the sole
purpose of selling them for more.
The principle is the same, but for those that
don't visit/live in Japan, you just don't see
it. You could be wandering about a cel shop and
then one of the "dealers" walks in and buys a cel
for their site that you would have bought for
your collection. Just because you don't get to
see these in the shops yourself doesn't mean the
principle isn't the same.
Or I suppose it is okay for them to buy and
resell those which you did not have personal
access to, but for collectors in Japan who have
access to the ones the "moral" dealers buy, well
for them it's just too bad.
I mean, what about the Japanese people who walk
into a shop and see a sell they are trying to save
up to buy, and then the next day it is gone and
they see it on a Japanese dealer's site who sells
overseas? You LOVE that reseller because you
are getting to see something you otherwise
wouldn't, but what about that collector that had
been saving to buy that cel?
Reselling is reselling. Perhaps next we should
get angry at the people who buy them from the
studios to resell? Perhaps if they didn't do
this, the studios might give away their waste for
free. In truth, almost every cel anyone owns in
this country was due to reselling, maybe many many
times over.
So please, don't complain about a few people who
do what every cel dealer and every other type of
dealer does all over the world. It just shows
your own ignorance.
