did you even read it?  i doubt, or you would have 
at least had the courtesy to address some of the 
things i said in my defense before continuing 
your assault...

i repeat -- as the studio and creators of a show 
hold rights for the characters and situations 
portrayed, if anyone's 'permission' should be 
asked concerning the copying of their work, it is 
*theirs*.  ownership of a cel does *not* convey 
ownership of that little piece of anime, 
regardless that we would like to think it does.  
(and it's this aspect of cel collecting that has 
had me befuddled for a while.  do you own a cel 
because it is a thing of beauty that you gain 
pleasure from looking at?  or do you own a cel so 
that you can jealously guard the image with 
repeated cries of how much it cost you to acquire 
it?)  i could just as easily have done Yue off of 
a screen cap, and *highly* doubt i would have 
received so vehement a reaction, even though the 
end result is the same.  (is any of this sinking 
in?)

by the way, your opinion on my talent as an 
artist has absolutely nothing to do with the 
original argument. 

as for my favorite cel, be my guest -- copy till 
your little heart is content.  i couldn't care 
less, provided you don't try to pass the copy off 
as original, because i *have* the original, and 
no amount of flattery (imitation is the most 
sincere form of...) will change that.  i'll even 
send you a scan of the douga if you'd like.
