To be honest, I think I'd rather know early on 
that I wasn't going to be able to outbid somebody, 
rather than waiting all the way to the last day of 
the auction, seeing that my bid is stiiiiiiill 
there, getting my hopes up and planning what color 
frame to use... *grin*... then having somebody 
blow me out of the water in the last fifteen 
seconds.  D'OH!!

Of course, that's just the nature of auctions, but 
I do prefer it when somebody expresses a really 
EARLY desire to trample all competition flat.  :)
