I think it was already said somewhere else in this
discussion that the cel is a reflection image - so
obviously, the scar would appear on the other side
of the face. Thus, the cel IS perfect - it appears
exactly as it should, given the context of the
scene...
But consider for a moment, when you come across a
cel that actually does have a mistake in it. Given
the assumption that you know the cel is authentic
(not a copy), wouldn't the mistake make it ~MORE~
valuable than a regular cel of that character? I
mean, think about it...When a mint makes coins or
paper currency, these are objects with an assigned
certain value; but when a mistake is made, say on
a very small amount of coins, the messed up coins
become very valuable and highly sought after.
Likewise, if a mistake is made in the printing of
some packaging for a product, like a toy, then
those few pieces that have the mistake usually
become much more valuable than comparative items
without the mistake...Why? Because the few that
were incorrectly produced are RARE!
So, think about finding a production CEL with a
mistake in it...It may be the ONLY one like it; or
at the least, one of only a very few. That rarity
would seem to logically increase the value of that
cel...And IF the cel at Usagi's House was actually
such a cel, then I think she could have easily
asked a lot more for it...
Sorry to get a bit off topic, but I though some
others might like to ponder on this. |
