Article on Mylar bags and animation cels (cel care); RICE PAPER?? (Sun May 7 20:02:39 2000
) oion drakaina.oion@nospam.net |
This may be of interest to some who have been following this thread: http://www.antiqueresources.com/articles/animationcare.html (using Mylar bags for both pencils and cels) Rice paper? I assume the kind used for paintings - I haven't found a detailed description in other threads so far - acid- free? Weights? Textures? Is it washi? Sumi-e??? I had never heard of using rice paper to back cels, but it makes sense since it's cellulose-free and should be acid-free. COMMENTS ANYONE? SOME OF THE SITES I FOUND FOR "RICE PAPER" ARE EXTREMELY DIVERSE. Anyhoo - (I haven't personally checked these out in depth, but they do sell these specialty papers. Comments on the stuff they offer would be GREATLY appreciated.) http://www.ningyeh.com/oas/paper.htm http://www.ichiyoart.com/Merchant/merchant.mv http://www.artpaper.com/japan.html http://www.natashascafe.com/html/rice_paper.html http://www.houserice.com/houserice/japsumpainse.html |
