For myself, Ebay is only something I use to meet people to
buy things from privately. I hate to have something I
*really* want come up on Ebay because you definitely have to
be there in the last minute of the auction to get anything
(at least anything that other people will have their eye on
too). I can't imagine why anyone would want you to put your
cels on Ebay versus making a private offer for them. I'm
confused. 0_o Anything really worthwhile would be bid
through the roof.

Anyhow, when picking auction ending times, it depends on
what you're aiming for. If you're aiming to end the auction
at a time that encourages people to bid at the lst minute,
and thus encourages "bid snipers", you want to end the
auction at about 5-6pm Pacific Time/8-9pm Eastern Time.
(People who have access at work can pick that night to work
late, people who have access at home - assuming they don't
have an evening shift at their job - can be home by then.)

If you don't want to encourage last second bidding, end the
auction at 1am Pacific Time/4am Eastern Time in the middle
of the week sometime. (This is late enough that people on
the west coast will have to go to sleep for work the next
morning, and early enough that people on the east coast
won't be getting up yet.) This won't stop all last minute
bidding - I have been known to set an alarm clock to get
up and bid - but it should cut it down.
