Another pot-bellied middle-ager!  I figured I 
had to be the oldest.  *sniff* now I don't feel 
so alone... *sniff*

Also an academic on a stupidly tiny budget 
(anyone who thinks people work in higher ed for 
the money is foolish) -- but stable enough that 
it even pains me to try selling the impulse 
buys.  The upside of being in academe right now, 
though, is that I get to be faculty advisor for 
our anime club and thus have a bunch of friends 
who are young enough to be my kids.  It's so 
great to have age not be a barrier once in 
awhile.
