Re: Anyone think cel collecting is getting impersonal? (Mon May 20 00:22:16 2002 )

I have to admit that I like to know when a
payment is received also, and preferably when it
actually ships. It only takes a minute to send
the email, and it makes the purchaser happy.

There are a couple of sellers/dealers who I
don't even bother trying to send friendly notes,
questions, or anything other then an order. With
past experiences, they've never answered.. so
why take the effort to ask a question. And no,
it's not asking if the sketch is stuck - when I
buy a cel I'll just assume its stuck. That was
if it isn't it's a nice surprise and if it IS I
won't be disappointed. ;) I've emailed asking
if they've got cels in stock from various series
not listed on their site and been completely
ignored. This is from sellers who have on their
site that they have more then what's listed in
their inventory and welcome requests. Goes to
show they don't in my views. ::shrugs::

Then there's dealers who I'll continue to buy
from who go out of their way to answer questions
of any kind. I'll cheerfully pay a little more
then the "average" price if I can have a
question answered before I buy. And you can bet
that I'll be a return customer if I ask for cels
from a particular series and they say "No, we
don't have any right now. But since we know
you're looking for them we'll be sure to try and
get some for you!" That, in my mind, is
incredible customer service.

Anyway... sorry this got a little longer then I
really intended. ;) But I do agree with you on
many points, so you are not alone in your
thinking.

Sheri
