I just got my first ever cat two days ago.  A 
kitten, actually.  With a fractured femur.  He 
was "care donated" to the hospital I work at by a 
family who either couldn't afford to treat him, 
or just didn't want to..  And so, rather than let 
him get euthanized, I took him home.  I'm such a 
sucker..
It's turning out to be an interesting ordeal, but 
pleasant.  I hope your veterinary adventures turn 
out well. ^-^  (And I must say, prices for 
veterinary dentistry really are rocketing up 
these days.  Hope they don't bleed you for too 
much. >.< )
