We took a kitty (a champagne Burmese) through 
chemotherapy for thoraxic carcinoma.  Pretty 
expensive and exciting (not in a fun way).  I 
know where you're coming from.

(It was even more expensive and exciting when my 
wife had Acute Myeloid Leukemia and lived for a 
few months at Dartmouth University Medical 
Center, but that fortunately was a few years ago 
and is old history now).
