Cindy, 

I'm so sorry. It's horrible, I know. If it's any 
consolation, my sister just recently saved a 
stray dog and all her puppies that were starving 
in a back lot near her house. Huge vet bill, but 
all are okay and placed with new families 
(except the mother who requires some long-term 
nursing...so she's staying with my sis). 

But, as requested, here is Kiki and Jiji 
(looking very pleased). ^_~
