well, just alittle while ago there was a thread 
about how a lot of people here wont ship to 
foriegn buyers on ebay auctions and that they
(foreign buyers) should read e-bay posts before 
bidding because it was a hassle to ship to 
countries outside the US and Canada.
  
 Perhaps they are independant sellers not 
dealers..who just don't want the extra hassle.
  It WAS groovy that you emailed in Japanese 
before you bid..but if they aren't comfortable 
selling overseas, for whatever reason, perhaps 
you should respect their wishes and let it 
go.    

To aggressively persue something that a seller 
has already made up their minds about and has 
already told you no, would be flat out rude.    
( as we have discussed when a foreign buyer has 
agressively pursued or demanded that we sell to 
them would be rude.)
 
As for the not shipping to americans thing.. 
Please dont take it personally. Crap happens and 
often times you have to pass on certain cels as 
being unavailable.. Im sure this has happened to 
you before ( like it has to all of us) being 
seasoned cel collectors.
