I've tried to change over to IE before, but I just
can't stick with it enough to switch permanently.
 I like my netscape *G*.

I'm using WinME at the moment, though I think I
installed NS7 on my sister's Win98 and didn't run
into any problems (of course, that's no real test
considering that they never use it...*sniff
sniff*, but the effort was there ;)). It would
probably run better on a system that has more RAM
to commit to it. I've noticed that every once in
a while things slow down if I have a lot of tabs open.

Netscape 7.0 System Requirements

I took a bit of time configuring NS7 to the way I
wanted it, including some fiddling with the pref
files. Biggest changes are the rearranging of the
main toolbar, the bookmark system (which I've sort
of become accustomed to now, but was probably the
biggest hurdle), and the annoying fact that they
decided to move the small bottom toolbar over from
the right to the left. I've also noticed that new
browser windows take a little bit longer to open.
Nice thing about the new email is that it now
supports multiple accounts.

If you like, you could probably install NS7 on
your computer without overwriting NS4, in case you
want to revert back to it. Just pick a different
folder for it to install to. I currently have
NS4.79, NS6, and NS7PR, and NS7Final installed.
*whistling innocently*

Unfortunately, it's possible that the features you
like are no longer there...NS7 still isn't what
I'd call perfect :(. But at the same time, it's
becoming harder and harder to surf with NS4
without running into serious problems.
