I've been doing quite some thinking on this. . . (Mon Nov 18 06:52:11 2002 )

Usually, I organize my cels by which ones look
best together. My gallery has either one or two
cels per row. I'll pair up cels of the same
character, cels whose images face each other, lead
the viewer's eye across the page from one to the
other, or cels from the same scene or sequence.

But usually I have nowhere near all my cels for
any given show up on my site at the same time.

Working to update everything to my site made me
rethink randomness. I have some large galleries
that need better organization, otherwise viewers
on dialup will grow cobwebs waiting for pages to
load. . . The question: How best to present my
collection to someone who doesn't know it (or
possibly even the anime) as well as I do? How can
I best interest an outside viewer before they
click off to somewhere else?

Often, I put what I think is my flashiest cel at
the top of a page to draw interest in the rest of
the page. For my Psychic Force cels, a number
won't look like much to someone unfamiliar with
the show. I chose order of appearance with quotes
from the show to help them make more sense to an
outside viewer. Nightwalker will be by character
since some people here like specific characters
from that show. And so on, and so forth. . .

Many people make their galleries for themselves.
I don't. I make my gallery for other people. So I
think more about what other people want to see,
rather than exactly how I would organize it for
myself.

Incidentally, my rarely seen gallery link is at
the top of this message. ^_^ Anyone wanting to
see it in it's normal form, go see it now! Soon,
it will be down for a while while I get everything
settled, and debugged. It will reopen with an
additional almost 600 cels and genga sets - some
of which I haven't shown for years. ^_~

I so can't believe I'm almost done! (@_@);

Many Sharp Smiles,

(And since I've been asked: The Yahoo Japan
Information pages *WILL* remain active. The URL
will *NOT* change.)
