On questions 1 and 2: I enjoy reading stuff on
other people's galleries. I like to hear why they
like the shows, where they got the cels,
interesting facts about the purchase and
basically what makes them so crazy about the cel
in particular. It's all good.
3. I personally don't watermark my cels. I feel
that it takes away from the image and it really
isn't worth going through the trouble to do so. I
also don't hold anything against galleries that
do. If you are truly worried about people using
your images for themselves, then do what you
think is best.
4. I'm with you on this one. I like a relatively
easy to navigate gallery. If you have a series
that you collect with over 50 cels, I would also
break them down by character so that we don't
have to wait for a page full of images to load.
On a side not, I use a dial-up modem, and I like
galleries that load quickly. If you have software
that can compress images into smaller files
without reducing the size of the picture, use it.
I don't like waiting a minute to see one picture
load sllloooowwwlllly.
5. Don't worry so much about being unique. Your
collection will speak for you, so your gallery
just needs to be functional and easy on the eyes
(and on the RAM). Best of luck, and let us know
when you get up and running. |
